Finding the site
The Eastern and Burbage Moors are approximately 14 square miles of the Peak District National Park on the edges of Sheffield. The Eastern Moors Partnership, a joint initiative between the National Trust and the RSPB, manage the Eastern Moors on behalf of the Peak District National Park and the Burbage, Houndkirk and Hathersage Moors on behalf of Sheffield City Council.
The Eastern Moors consist of Totley Moss, Ramsley Moor, Big Moor, Clod Hall, Jack Flat and Leash Fen.

By Car
There are a number of car parks around the Eastern and Burbage Moors. These include Curbar Gap (pay and display), Birchen Edge (pay and display), Shillito Wood, Surprise View (pay and display) and Upper Burbage Bridge. Additionally there are National Trust pay and display car parks at Hay Wood, Wooden Pole and Longshaw. Some car parks may be closed overnight so please observe signage when visiting.
Curbar Gap car park is east of Curbar village on Bar Road. The car park is on the left at the very top of the hill.
Birchen Edge car park is next to the Robin Hood pub on the A619/B6050 junction between Chesterfield and Baslow.
Shillito Wood car park is on Fox Lane off the A621 Baslow to Sheffield road.
Surprise View car park is on the A6187 above Hathersage.
Upper Burbage Bridge car park is at the head of the Burbage Valley on the Ringinglow Road out of Sheffield.
By rail
The nearest railway station is 4 miles away at Grindleford, on the Sheffield to Manchester railway line.

There are a number of bus routes crossing the Eastern and Burbage Moors.
