Meet the Eastern Moors Team
Danny Udall Senior Site Manager
My role is to head up the team and coordinate a programme of improvements for wildlife, landscape and for people who enjoy this place as much as I do.
My first encounter with the Eastern Moors was hanging off a rope on Froggatt Edge, a long time ago - the Eastern Moors has changed a lot since then! When offered the role to oversee the delivery of a new vision for the Eastern Moors, working with wildlife and people, I jumped at the chance, who wouldn’t?
John Mead Warden
The Eastern Moors and Burbage is a constant source of inspiration to me. There is so much to discover and so much to learn by working in this landscape. My role includes co-ordinating the ecological monitoring, working with volunteers, and carrying out landscape scale conservation projects. Being part of a team that cares for this landscape is a real privilege.
Rebecca Wood Assistant Warden
My role is to help the warden and visitor experience teams in carrying out estate work and habitat management on the Eastern Moors. After previously working for the RSPB in Cambridgeshire, it is a privilege to be back in my home county working in such a rich and diverse landscape. I am looking forward to exploring what hidden gems the Eastern Moors has to offer, as I feel I have only just scratched the surface.
Myles Flanagan Warden
Having previously worked as a contractor doing land and habitat management works in the Peak District then as a Ranger for the National Trust at Kedleston Hall, I jumped at the chance to return to the Peak. It is a privilege to work in such an inspiring and diverse landscape. My role as Warden will be varied, involving habitat management, wildlife and heritage monitoring as well as working with volunteers.
Natasha Edgington Administrator
Having grown up in Derbyshire and spent my formative years exploring and traveling through the Eastern Moors, I have a deep and instrinsic connection to this land. I am an advocate for conservation and preservation in all facets of society, and cherish the role I have at the Eastern Moors, in addition to supporting the wider Sheffield Moors Partnership as secretary.
