Moorland habitats

Part of the Peak District National Park, the Eastern Moors sits on the fringes of Sheffield. Boasting a diverse mix of heather moorland, acid grassland, blanket bog and woodland, the entire site is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Theses habitats are valueable both for their diverse mix of wildlife and their special character enjoyed by the people who visit. Enjoy the colours of upland meadows in bloom, the wild open landscape of the moors and the magic of a walk in the woods.
