Totley Powder Store

Work to stabilise the Totley powder store is now complete. The National Trust building team have done a lovely job on the brick work and have kept the original details in place.

Wardens @ Work

Mysterious looking markings have appeared in the grasslands on Big Moor this week. However, there is nothing supernatural going on, just the wardens with the tractor!

Ring Ouzels

Research has shown that our ring ouzels have their own Derbyshire dialect!

Guardians of the Moors

With the help of a three year grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), volunteering on the Eastern Moors is about to get big!

Tell us about your wildlife sightings

Some wildlife can be spotted on the Eastern Moors all year round and some wildlife comes and goes with the seasons. We would love to hear about your wildlife sightings.

Volunteer with Us

There's something for everyone looking to volunteer on the Eastern Moors and help us to make this special place even richer in wildlife and enjoyable to visit.
