Where we love to go...

The Eastern Moors team are made up of people who not only work here, but love it enough to play here too. We’d like to share with you some of our favourite places to walk, climb, run or just womble about enjoying nature's splendour, in the hope that you might love some of them too!

Some places listed are easy to find by using our website map or road map, but I would suggest you use an Ordnance Survey map to guide you around the route descriptions.

The places listed are our personal favourites, but only you know your own limitations, so please read the descriptions carefully and be aware that we can not list every potential hazard in the landscape. Keep yourself safe by dressing appropriately for the changeable weather and wearing suitable, stout footwear with good grips. Take appropriate safety equipment with you including a map and compass and a mobile phone and let someone know where you are going and when you should be expected back.

There is often cattle and sheep roaming on the moors, so keep yourself safe and the livestock undisturbed by acting appropriately near livestock, keeping your distance and putting your dog on a short lead.
